With last week’s release of Windows 7, one of the common questions is whether your online backup service is compatible. Well a few of the online backup companies have spoken up:
- Mozy says,
we’ve done thorough testing on both Snow Leopard and Windows 7 and Mozy works well on both
- Backblaze announces
Backblaze fully supports the new OS
- IDrive states,
IDrive is fully compatible with Windows 7.
No comment yet from SugarSync, SpiderOak, or SafeCopy. Carbonite simply posted a broken link.
It seems like using an online backup service with Windows 7 isn’t going to be a big issue, so go ahead & upgrade to Windows 7 and know your online backup will work fine.
